Our mission: To promote human-powered use of trail networks in the Sierra National Forest and Southern Yosemite region through trail maintenance, community involvement, and public outreach.
See Our Work in Action:
As of 2024, YSGTC is keeping the stoke alive with over 80 miles of epic singletrack trails across two areas. In the Bass Lake Ranger District, we’re maintaining and carving trails from the 8,200-foot summit of Shuteye Peak to Bass Lake. Over in the High Sierra, we’ve laid down fresh MTB-specific trails for all levels—green, blue, and black—flowing from Ely Mountain’s 6,900-foot peak down to Huntington Lake Rd by Shaver Lake. And we’re not done—plans are in the works for more trails.
With more members sharing the load, YSGTC will be able to fast-track the opening of new MTB and hiking trails in the Sierra National Forest, restore and maintain what we have, and keep long-term access to legal recreational use for the whole community.
All powered by passionate volunteers—come ride, get involved, and help build the future of local trails!
